RolePlayGateway?

Let's say this?

The infection didn't just come onto anyone. It almost came selectively, so there was no fear that it would come onto everyone at once. But I'm getting ahead of myself: Things began several years ago. Groups of people with various symptoms started sending in complaints despite being healthy prior to reporting to their doctors. Of course, it wasn't quite until we discovered just what was happening to these people until it was too late. We called it the ACD, or the 'Anime Characterization Disease,' from all the large eyed, colorfully haired looking mutations we saw occur in people. These people would grow on to pass their genetics to their offspring, who in turn had what we called MCD, or 'Manga Characterization Disorder.'

It's starting to become a regular occurrence to see that girl who looks oddly like Miku Hatsune, or something, who went from the world's worst science student, to a potential future physicist after gaining the ability to understand various topics at a more accelerated developmental rate, along with putting in many hard study hours, her newly formed mind is able to comprehend and understand things bit better than most. And, maybe her personality has changed somewhat from that loud sassy chick, to the quiet gentle bookworm.

Of course, these changes are not without resistance. Not everyone likes Anime and Manga, even with the surge of people starting to resemble forms similar to the numerous art styles, and even the writing for characters' personality, dialogue, and such, at least especially not in Some few parts of Europe, and most of America. There's bound to be a bit of discrimination here and there. Maybe even a bit of unrest. So don't think having ACD/MCD will grant you instant popularity, and good fortune. It's more like living life as if you were a whole different person, and everyone makes you out to be different because your physical body has 'deformed,' so to speak, and your personality has changed somewhat.

Becomes Something like This!:

Welcome to Deanville, USA. You've got your town with all the little shops, Dunlap High School, and the suburbs where most people live. The local populace is fairly sized, with a chunk being ACD/MCD victims. People are mostly friendly. I mean, granted that one person who's got a problem with ACD/MCD doesn't have to deal with someone 'deformed' for too long. Life pretty much rolls along here?

So, Here are some symptoms to keep an eye out for, some easier to spot than others:

- Change of hair color/style/etc

- Change of Eye Color/size

- Changes in physical height/weight/etc

- Slight to Entire changes in personality (AKA the 'Identity Crisis' for Entire Changes)

- Change in testosterone/estrogen, causing a shift in masculinity/femininity to a person, or entire gender transformations.

- Spontaneous increases or decreases in certain areas, such as learning, or athletic ability, but never to a superhuman level. (this does not mean you magically gain the skill to do math or play basketball, you're just more physically fit, or your understanding is wider, and you can understand things better when you first learn about them.)
